Michael DuPont is the type of person who enjoys getting to know and understand the people he interacts with on a daily basis. It is no surprise then, that he gravitates towards learning about new and exciting cultures through travel.

Travel is one of Michael’s favorite pastimes. It helps him disconnect from the hectic world of advertising sales and provides a place to recharge his senses and his soul. Michael DuPont also loves the perspective that travel brings. Seeing how other people live and witnessing what they consider valuable can sometimes be eye-opening for foreign visitors. Michael has been an avid traveler for decades. In addition to observing new and interesting traditions, Michael is an enthusiastic foodie, and he loves experiencing a society and its people through their traditional cuisine. 

When he’s not recharging his spirit, the world of media advertising serves as Michael’s professional passion. He earned a BBA in Marketing and Advertising from George Washington University, followed by the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he got an MBA in International Business and Marketing. Part of the reason for pursuing this degree was Michael DuPont’s love for travel. His natural amiable personality and tactfulness, along with his marketing savvy, make the industry a perfect fit for him. Another benefit to being innately diplomatic and an excellent character judge is the intuitive way Michael brings departments together to realize clients’ goals.

Michael acted as a liaison between clients and the creative team as an Account Executive in Advertising Sales for Viacom – MTV Networks. Michael’s key markets were New York and Los Angeles. Michael managed sponsorship integrations for significant televised events, MTV Spring Break, and the MTV Video Music Awards, acting as the point person for producers and showrunners. Michael and his team obtained the most significant market share and pricing during his tenure.

Michael DuPont, Vice President of Ad Sales, led AOL’s digital sales team in Los Angeles and cooperated with AOL’s business development team to negotiate deals for all AOL sites. As Vice President of Advertising Sales at Oxygen Media, his team was responsible for creating a national sales strategy across linear and digital platforms. Michael DuPont and his team have a reputation for frequently surpassing sales goals.

Michael fostered the sales staff and oversaw the network’s rebranding while working as Executive Vice President for Advertising Sales at Pop TV for ViacomCBS. Michael was also in charge of the direct response and direct-to-consumer advertising teams across the United States. Throughout his duration with the organization, Michael DuPont became an expert in cross-platform sponsorship negotiations across linear, digital, and observational marketing mediums.

Michael is a proud member of the LGBTQ community and works relentlessly to promote diversity. In addition, Michael is a devoted philanthropist who has supported several worthy initiatives, such as The New York City Food Bank, the Animal Rescue Foundation, and the Cycle for Survival, which raises money for the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
